PRC lists 242 new dentists

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday that 242 out of 340 examinees passed the Dentist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Dentistry in Manila this month.

The Board of Dentistry – composed of Dr. Daniel G. Feraro, as chairman; and Dr. Melinda L. Garcia, Dr. Gloria M. Bumanlag, Dr. Steve Mark G. Gan, and Dr. Rannier F. Reyes, as members – said the results were released in three working days after the last day of examinations.

The PRC said registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on June 15, 2010 but not later than June 23, 2010. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), two passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), one 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete name tag), two sets of metered documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2010-2013. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The oath-taking ceremony of the successful examinees in the June examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on July 9, 2010, 1:30 p.m., at the Fiesta Pavilion of the historic landmark Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Roxas Boulevard, Manila. It will be strictly business attire for all successful examinees.

Selling of oath-taking tickets will be from June 15, 2010 to July 7, 2010 at the 2nd Floor, Ever Gotesco, Recto.

Registration for membership with the Philippine Dental Association starts on June 15, 2010.
