Lone bettor bags P94-million Super Lotto 49 jackpot
Another lotto bettor became a multi-millionaire over the weekend for correctly guessing the correct Super Lotto 49 combination in the state-run lottery.
Dr. Larry Cedro, spokesman of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), said a Negros Occidental bettor was the lone winner of the P94,412,325.60 jackpot in the Sunday draw of Super Lotto 49.
The still unidentified bettor placed a P20 standard bet for the winning six-number combination – 5-15-16-26-27-28.
Last Saturday, another bettor from Cauayan, Isabela won P65,780,425.80 for betting on the winning six-number combination for Lotto 42.
The jackpot prize was the biggest for the Lotto 42 system in more than five years.
Cedro said Saturday’s winning combination was 33-29-22-42-41-25.
It took 18 draws since May 4 before the Lotto 42 jackpot was won. On the other hand, 17 draws were conducted since May 6 before the Super Lotto 49 top prize was taken.
Cedro said winners in the two lotto draws will have to claim their winnings in the PCSO main office in Quezon City.
The PCSO maintains 17 lotto games drawn in various days of the week. Proceeds of the lotto operations go to charity projects of the state-lottery firm and the social fund of the President.
