President-elect Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino III welcomed reports that Ephraim Genuino has already submitted courtesy resignation from his post as chairman of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

In a brief interview with media before leaving his Quezon City residence Wednesday afternoon, Aquino said he will thank Genuino for his gesture.

“Magpapasalamat ako sa kanya dahil nakabawas siya sa sakit ng ulo,” Aquino told reporters while he is on board his BMW SUV.

Aquino has vowed to review the midnight appointments made by his predecessor, including Genuino and Lt. Gen. Delfin Bangit, who recently decided to retire from his post as Armed Forces Chief of Staff. (Kris Bayos)
