After a long wait, actor Patrick Garcia finally got his wish.

The young dad met his son, Alex Jazz or AJ for the first time during the birthday celebration of his niece Kendra, daughter of his sister actress-model, Cheska Garcia-Kramer.

The meeting happened June 26, according to the Philippine Entertainment Portal.

To mark the moment, pictures were taken, one of which was proudly posted by the doting aunt on her Twitter account.

“Father and son! Yipee!” she wrote.

Only a few weeks ago, the boy’s mom, actress Jennylyn Mercado, announced her willingness to let father and son meet —a softening on her earlier stance to never let Garcia see his son.

Basta, sa amin na lang yun [how to go about it],” she stated in an interview with entertainment show “Startalk.”

The 23-year old made it clear that she is now willing to let bygones be bygones.

"Ayoko ng magtanim ng galit. Past is past.

Garcia-Kramer expressed elation upon hearing of Mercado’s statement.

"Talaga? I'm sure Patrick will be very happy to know that," said she in a separate interview.

Garcia-Kramer, obviously as excited with the prospect of having the estranged couple patch things up if only for the sake of their son, said:

"I'll let him [Patrick] know. I'll let him know about it. That's nice. That's nice to know. I'm sure, matutuwa yun. Tatalon yun sa tuwa."
