The ‘B’ wardrobe for the Binay family

While the Vice President-elect’s wardrobe choice for his proclamation was quite simple and understated, his barong for Wednesday’s inauguration is, by far, more interesting and intricate.
The barong, which is made of silk cocoon, has an elegant, art-deco inspired window design in its front and back.
Binay’s daughter Nancy Binay Angeles disclosed that the barong was rush-made.
In his party to follow the inauguration rites, Binay would change into a Paul Cabral barong made of piña silk, said Nancy who made the choice for both occasions.
An important feature put on both barongs is the letter “B” which stands for Binay.
Colors of the Campaign
Binay’s family, on the other hand, would be wearing gowns made of colors of the campaign period. Nancy would be wearing an orange gown while her mother would be donning a blue gown.
In honor of Noy-Bi, Erap-Binay, Gibo-Binay, and Villar-Binay informal tandem supporters, the rest of the girls would also be wearing gowns of yellow, blue, green, and orange. All gowns were made by Aureo Alonzo.
The Binay boys, down to the grandchildren will be wearing barongs made of piña silk as well.
These barongs were made in Taal, Batangas and are also flecked with “B” logos.
Lifestyle Changes
Nancy revealed that the whole Binay household is excited for the inauguration. She even said that Binay’s grandchildren see it as a “party.”
The whole family is also prepared for Binay’s new position as Vice President. “Sanay na kami sa busy schedule niya (We are used to his busy schedule),” she shared. But the family would still look forward to bonding at home. Nancy said that no matter how hectic or demanding their father’s new position can get, at the end of the day, they would still each other at home.
