LTO seizes ‘colorum’ vehicles

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union — Operatives from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Region 1 kicked off this week its campaign to seize all “colorum” vehicles plying routes along the national highways in the region.

LTO Region 1 Information Officer Charlie Rosario said a P6,000 fine will be imposed on violators and that their vehicles will be seized.

“In case the owner or operator of the seized vehicle didn’t paid his penalty with - in prescribe period, he/she will pay P1, 500.00 addition penalty per day until he/she will fully pay the initial fine,” he said.

LTO personnel will be backed up by representatives of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board in catching colorum vehicles, Rosario said.
