In the interest of transparency, Maguindanao massacre suspect, Andal Ampatuan Sr.’s medical bulletin should be disclosed, according to Justice Secretary Leila De Lima.

De Lima said she will look into the matter whether this could be possible within the decision issued by Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 221 Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes about the matter.

“Titingnan din naming yung tungkol sa desisyon na hindi daw magbibigay ng health bulletin kasi dapat makita ko muna kasi hindi ko pa nakikita yung pinaka-order ni Judge Solis-Reyes tungkol diyan if it’s really part or its part of the prescribed conditions there… na ang bulletin ay diretso sa korte. Hindi ko pa alam yan. So kung walang nakasaad na ganoon sa court order,” she told reporters prior to attending the Red Mass at the Manila Cathedral
Wednesday.

“But siguro it’s not unreasonable na in the interest of transparency na dapat dini-disclose yung actual health condition,” she added.

The Department of Justice, De Lima said, will also look into the regularity of Ampatuan Sr.’s transfer to the Armed Forced of the Philippines Medical Center in Quezon City using a private vehicle instead of an ambulance.
