The stars of the hit Korean drama series “Boys over Flowers” will be reunited in two events in Japan in August.

Ku Hye Sun, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum and Kim Joon will be flying to Japan to participate in the events in Osaka on August 18 and Tokyo on August 21.

While it is unfortunate that Lee Min-ho will not be able to attend, Japanese fans are nevertheless looking forward to seeing the cast.

“Boys over Flowers” was adapted from Hana Yori Dango, a Japanese manga or comics. It was aired in South Korea last year and became an instant success.

Lee Min-ho and Ku Hye Sun played Gu Jun Pyo and Geum Jan Di, the main characters of “Boys over Flowers.” Kim Hyun Joong played Kim Ji-hoo while Kim Bum and Kim Joon played So Yi Jung and Song Woo Bin, respectively.

“Boys over Flowers” was credited for transforming the main cast into overnight celebrities, earning them awards in its wake.

Lee Min-ho won as Best Newcomer Actor in the 45th Paeksang Arts Awards and Male Rookie in the KBS Drama Awards.

Kim Hyun Joong won the Popularity Award in the 45th Paeksang Arts Awards and Best Actor in the Seoul Drama Awards.

Ku Hye Sun snagged the following awards: Netizen Award and Honorable Acting Award in the KBS Acting Awards.

The series was voted Best Drama in the Seoul Drama Awards.
