Luis Manzano denies courting new 'Wowowee' co-host
The almost daily visits of Luis Manzano to the dressing room of Kelly Misa, one of the new female co-hosts of the noontime show “Wowowee,” have caused tongues to wag that he is courting her.
However, Luis denies the rumors.
Kelly, along with Isabelle Abiera, Jed Montero and Malaysian actress Carmen Soo, was introduced months ago as the newest addition the the growing family of “Wowowee.”
Luis said the buzz about his regular visits to Kelly is only partly true.
“Para malinaw sa lahat, iisang dressing room sila. So, ‘pag pumasok ako doon ibig sabihin dinadalaw ko silang lahat. Pero doon sa mga naglalagay ng malisya, to be sure next time pagagawa ako ng visitor’s pass para ililista kung kanino ako dadadalaw… para mas malinaw kung kanino ako may malisya o wala,” Luis explained on “Showbiz News Ngayon” on July 23.
Kelly backed up Luis’ statement.
“Actually, dinadalaw niya (ang) lahat ng girls. He really makes sure na okay kami lahat before the show starts. That’s him. Luis is very caring, very funny, sobrang lambing niya. As a friend, nakakatawa talaga siya,” Kelly said.
Luis categorically denied he and Kelly have something romantic going on between them.
“Si Kelly ay kilala ko high school pa lang kami. Halos ten years or more ko nang kilala si Kelly dahil we went to the same high school. Kelly has her own personal life, kung alam n’yo po ang ibig kong sabihin.”
Kelly, again, bolstered what Luis revealed.
“I’m engaged. Before joining showbiz, I got engaged kaya nilagay nila ako sa cover ng Metro Wedding. ‘Yun ‘yong reason, but it’s not anytime soon.”
And yes, Luis is telling the truth because Kelly says, “he knows my fiancé.”
This should put an end to rumors that Luis is courting another girl after all his seemingly unsuccessful efforts to win back Angel Locsin.
