Extra-judicial, media, political killings are part of P-Noy's SONA — De Lima

MANILA (PNA) — The issues about extra–judicial, media and political killings are part of the first State-of-the-Nation Address (SONA) of President Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino III, Justice Secretary Leila De Lima on Monday said.

President Aquino will deliver his maiden SONA before the joint session of the Senate and the House of Representatives of the 15th Congress at 4 p.m. Monday.

De Lima said aside from such issues, President Aquino may also tackle in his maiden SONA the slow turn of justice in the country and how it will be resolved.

De Lima said the President is not interested in the creation of a "Super Body" which the DOJ Secretary earlier proposed through a draft Executive Order.

The Chief Executive is more interested in the strict implementation of existing laws rather than the formation of task forces, she said.

De Lima added President Aquino believes that a task force cannot do anything and will not be able to produce results if the prosecutors, police and soldiers are weak.
