The Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City, home of the House of Representatives, is turning out to be a good training ground for Filipino boxing icon Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao.

While he hones his political career in the House of Representatives as he functions as Sarangani’s representative, Pacquiao said he is also planning to utilize the Batasang Pambansa gymnasium for his boxing training – even planning to bring his celebrated trainer Freddie Roach to the vast complex to supervise the workout.

Despite his two concerns, Pacquiao assured fans on Wednesday that his elective job as representative of the lone district of Sarangani won’t be compromised with his training for his November 13 bout.

Pacquiao said the afternoon sessions in the Batasang Pambansa Complex actually gives him enough time to condition his body, allowing him to train for three hours every morning before going to work as a lawmaker.

“We are not having problems. I actually need to eat more to maintain my weight for my training,” said Pacquiao, who weighs 145 lbs. on the scale.

Pacquiao, who will become a member of the House Committee on Youth and Sports Development, promised to spend the nights over in his office at Room 403 in the South Wing Annex of the Batasang Pambansa Complex to make sure he will not miss anything in his schedule.
