Kim Atienza is fast recovering after suffering a mild stroke on Aug. 11.

The TV host also known as Kuya Kim was rushed to the Philippine General Hospital around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday after complaining of “dizziness” on his way to co-host ABS-CBN’s “Showtime!” He was later transferred to the Makati Medical Center, where he is still confined in the intensive care unit.

According to his doctors, Atienza is 99.9% recovered but he still needs to undergo other medical tests to determine what caused the mild stroke. He is expected to stay in the hospital for seven more days.

“Nahilo siya, na-disorient. Ganoon ang epekto ng severe fatigue that leads to a mild stroke.”

Aside from “Showtime,” Kuya Kim does the weather report for “TV Patrol” and hosts the wildlife show, “Matanglawin.”

Fely, Atienza’s wife, shared that doctors have advised her husband to reduce his activities to avoid stress. He was also placed under a low-fat diet.
