John Marion Wilson scored 22 points to lead the Yellow Team past the Red Team, 76-60, on Saturday in Day Two the PBA Rookie Camp at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The 6-foot-3 guard, who steered Jose Rizal University to the NCAA Final Four last year and eventually became its MVP, also cornered seven rebounds in an impressive performance that overshadowed the efforts of Claifford Arao, who topscored for the Red Team with 10 points.

The 6-foot-4 Arao is reportedly high on the list of coach Caloy Garcia of Rain or Shine which will pick at No.5 in the PBA Annual Draft set on Aug. 29 at the Market! Market Place in Taguig City.

Garcia said he’ll just focus on his team’s urgent need.

“I guess we’ll just concentrate on our priority. So that means we’ll choose either a guard to backup Ty (Tang) or a wingman to backup Gabe (Norwood),” said Garcia, who hinted he is interested in Letran high scoring guard RJ Jazul.

Possible no.1 pick Rabeh Al-Hussaini managed just nine points but that was enough to lead his White Team to a 73-62 victory against the Yellow Team in the other game.

Elmer  Espiritu topscored for the Yellow Team with 10 points.

Fil-foreign aspirants Mark Jeffries and Josh Vanlandingham also did well.

Jeffries, a 6-foot-4 forward, scored 11 points and Vanlandingham added eight for the Blue Team.

The Camp resumes this Sunday with the Red Team taking on the White Team at 9 a.m, and the Blue Team going up against the Yellow Team at 10:30 a.m.

Both games will also be played at the Ynares Sports Arena.
