RP's largest building products retailer rolls out new management solution
In support of its expansion plans, construction materials and hardware retailer Wilcon Builders’ Supply, recently announced in a press briefing its successful initial roll out of its implementation of the Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System, a set of business application suites that automates and streamlines the firm's core and supporting business processes.
The company is now using Lawson Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Financial Management, Manufacturing Operations and Enterprise Asset Management suites along with other applications in the Lawson M3 system that it acquired from Lawson Software, a US-based software and service solutions provider to various companies who are looking at streamlining their processes, reduce costs and enhance business or operational performance.
Lorraine Belo, vice president of retail operations for Wilcon said that are rolling out Lawson M3 Enterprise solutions to further support their expansion plans of opening an average of four stores annually to boost their network of branches in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
Currently Wilcon Builders Depot has a total of 25 stores ranging from mall-based, medium and large format stores across strategic locations in the Philippines.
Belo said the company's implementation of the Lawson system taught their staff about doing things in systematic ways which is a vast improvement from the previous system that has been causing us auditing issues in terms of figures and data.
“We do see the benefits of adopting Lawson; it’s a system that can accommodate high volumes and rich in functionality for organizations with complex supply chainlike ours. It’s in-line with our growth plans and activities that we could not imagine performing in the past like specific sales and promotions are now easy to manage with the Lawson M3 software,” Belo explained.
With the first five stores up and running with the Lawson M3 system, Belo said Wilcon Builders Depot is now moving to implement the system in all 20 of its locations in the Philippines.
