One of the biggest games today has to be Blizzard Entertainment's Starcraft II.

While this is a game you have purchase officially to truly enjoy the various network and skirmish modes, it looks like developer Daniel Hellerman is cooking up something.

And if all goes well, Hellerman will be releasing this curious iPhone app called the StarCraft II Gameboard.

Of course, this doesn't really mean you can play the full StarCraft II game on your iPhone.

Rather, the StarCraft II Gameboard is an app that allows StarCraft II addicts to use the iPhone as a controller of sorts.

One of the highlights that makes StarCraft II Gameboard app appealing is its network capabilities.

This iPhone app should come in handy, especially if you find yourself stuck for some reason and your build order needs a much needed refresh.

Aside from being able to use the iPhone as a controller, the said app allows you to also control nearly everything in the game.

To sum it up, the app transforms your iPhone to a virtual control pad. It even comes with a Starcraft II unit encyclopedia and tips on successfully build orders.

In case Blizzard doesn't end up shutting down the said app, the StarCraft II Gameboard should be out by next month.
