Tams hope to return to form vs NU
Games Thursday (Araneta Coliseum)
2 p.m. — NU vs FEU
4 p.m. — UST vs La Salle
Early semifinalist Far Eastern University tries to rebound from a shocking defeat to La Salle when it battles National University this Thursday in the 73rd UAAP basketball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Tamaraws battle the Bulldogs at 2 p.m. with the Morayta-based cagers hoping to erase the stigma of their 80-66 loss to the Archers last Sunday.
Despite their defeat, the Tamaraws are still on top of the standings with a 9-2 record, half a game ahead of the Ateneo Eagles who improved to 9-3 following their 55-52 win over the Adamson Falcons.
The win earned the Eagles the second semis berth.
FEU coach Glenn Capacio is confident his boys can put their sorry defeat behind as they intend to win their three remaining games to get the “winning feeling” going into the Final Four.
In their game against the Archers, Capacio said his boys played minus the desire and focus that helped them clinch the first semis berth.
