Google Acquires Game Developer SocialDeck

Google has acquired their fifth social-networking company with the reported purchase of SocialDeck. In case you didn't know, SocialDeck is behind the creation of games that users can play via Facebook or mobile devices.

Social Deck has already launched several titles for various mobile devices which include the iPhone and the BlackBerry.

With the aggressive buyouts that Google is undertaking it looks like rumors of Google building a gaming-centered social networking service are slowly taking shape.

Earlier acquisitions made by Google include the likes of Angstro and Slide.

And of course, the main target for these various acquisitions is Facebook, undoubtedly one of the more popular social networking sites that people log on to practically everyday either for fun and/or play.
