Manila, Philippines — The National University Bulldogs got a big lift from Jewel Ponferrada whose 3 point shot in the dying seconds lifted the NU Bulldogs over the Adamson Falcons 62-59, in the second game of the 73rd UAAP basketball tournament held at the Araneta Coliseum.

Ponferrada finished with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 1 block, denying the Falcons a chance to get a possible twice to beat advantage.

The win also practically assured FEU and Ateneo the one and two slots respectively, leaving their scheduled match-up with DLSU on Thursday to determine who will meet the top seeded teams.

DLSU also succumbed to a 80-74 loss at the hands of the UE Warriors in the first game.

Joseph Terso of NU provided the necessary support for Ponferrada by scoring 9 points, grabbing 2 rebounds and issuing 2 assists.
