Miriam and Annabelle: All's well that ends well

MANILA, Philippines — Despite their earlier misunderstanding, Miriam said that she and her talent manager Annabelle Rama have already talked things out and are now okay with each other.
Miriam told PEP, during Annabelle’s birthday party held last Oct. 28 at the Crowne Plaza in Ortigas, how they clarified the issue between them.
"Nung Tuesday galing ako sa presscon ng 'Layang Bilanggo',” Miriam shared, referring to her indie film competing in the 6th Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival this November. “Nakatanggap ako ng call mula kay Jimmy, 'yung isa sa mga PAs ni Tita Annabelle. Sabi niya, 'Pina-followup ka na ni Tita Annabelle. Nasaan ka na raw. Kasi may rehearsal ka pa para sa song number mo sa birthday niya'.”
Miriam continued, “Sabi ko, 'Ay, oo nga. Pagkatapos ng presscon susunod ako diyan'.” She then disclosed that she got to talk with Annabelle at the studio when she arrived.
The alleged rift started after Annabelle got irked by Miriam’s text message to her asking her for a meeting to discuss her career. The manager complained to the media present at her presscon last Oct. 21 about how early in the day Miriam would text her without even greeting her “good morning.” She then exposed the content of the message, which Miriam admitted made her sad.
"Na-sad lang ako na kailangang ilabas. Nagulat lang ako na nangyayari 'yun. Siyempre kung humihingi ka naman ng meeting, ba't kailangang i-announce mo sa lahat, 'di ba?”, Miriam said, further expressing that she did not expect Annabelle’s reaction to her texts and that she has learned her lesson.
Miriam also said that she would still abide by her manager’s contract; however she’s still waiting for that much-sought after meeting with Annabelle to discuss her career. Miriam maintains that she would only like to talk about her and Annabelle’s ideas where and how to take her career further.
The former beauty queen is one of Annabelle’s 29 talents from Royale Artists Management, which includes her own brood Ruffa, Richard and Raymond Gutierrez, as well as JC de Vera, Michelle Madrigal and Danita Paner, among others, in its roster .
