Disney/Pixar has released the new teaser-trailer for the much awaited sequel, Cars 2.

Lightning McQueen is back after a 5 year hiatus, now taking on an entirely new adventure as he races for world supremacy in order to to determine who is the world's fastest car.

Owen Wilson will be once again the voice of Lightning McQueen while Mater will be played by Larry the Cable Guy.

Lightning McQueen and Mater travel overseas where the former will compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to be adjudged the world’s fastest car.

Torn between assisting Lightning McQueen in the high-profile race and towing the line in a top-secret spy mission, Mater's action-packed journey leads him on an explosive chase through the streets of Japan and Europe, trailed by his friends and watched by the whole world.

A new set of all-car cast will also be on hand. This includes secret agents, menacing villains and international racing competitors.

Cars 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on June 24, 2011 and will be available in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.
