MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang was pleased with the results of the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, as it reiterated its commitment to carry on with its platform on transparency and accountability.

“We’re very happy with the rating and again, as with any rating the President has received in the past, we will make sure to use it as further inspiration,” Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said Wednesday.

She said the Aquino administration will “keep instituting the reforms and the steps that we’ve already undertaken.” “This is to make sure it serves as inspiration to us to keep doing what we have been doing in the past,” she added. The Aquino administration has received a 74 percent satisfaction rating on its performance with only 10 percent expressing dissatisfaction on the current administration, yielding a “very good” net satisfaction rating of +64.

Based on the latest survey, Metro Manila gave the Aquino government a +49 rating while it was +67 in Mindanao, a +69 in Luzon outside Metro Manila, and +59 in the Visayas. (Madel Sabater)
