US Embassy in Manila closed Monday

MANILA, Philippines —  The United States Embassy in Manila announced Saturday that its offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 21, in commemoration of the “President's Day.’’

The announcement was made through the social networking and Facebook site of the embassy. Normal operations will resume immediately the following day, Feb. 22.

The embassy advised those people with scheduled transactions in their office to come on Tuesday, Feb.22, when its operations resume.

“The President’s Day” is a US Federal Holiday which is celebrated every third Monday of February in honor of George Washington, the first President of the United States. (John Carlo Cahinhinan)
