CAMP BGEN OSCAR FLORENDO, La Union, Philippines (PNA) -- Lawmen caught 10 fishermen conducting illegal fishing operation in the coastal waters of Barangay Baybay Norte, Sual, Pangasinan Tuesday.

Police identified the arrested fishermen as Rolando Relosa, 40; Damiano Espisya, 32; Loreto Tagulayon, 30; Romeo Bignos, 37; Rogelio Buscado, 37; Jonelo Reloso, 29; Richard de Vera, 21; Pentalon Escalante, 37; Ninoy Domingo, 20; and Noel Ilangan, 30, all of Sual town.

Seized from the suspects were five containers full of assorted fish caught using illegal fishing paraphernalia.

The arrested fishermen are now under the custody of the policemen while appropriate charges are being prepared against them.
