BAGUIO CITY, Philippines (PNA) -- City mayor Mauricio Domogan on Monday announced that more than 400 city employees will receive one-half of their bonus of no less than P12,000 in March and May.

He said that the capability of the city government for the early payment of the employees' bonus was duly certified by the city's financial committee.

"The city officials and employees worked as a team so we could improve our financial status which now allow us to pay the bonus. The first tranche of payment shall take place this month as most parents are celebrating the graduation exercises of their children. The second tranche of payment shall be in May as parents will enroll their children to school," he said.

Baguio, a chartered city, has more than 400 employees as of last year.

During the previous terms of Domogan, the employees had received quite a number of cash and other incentives.
