MANILA, Philippines — The Parañaque City government, in celebration of the World TB Day, will be holding a fun run next Saturday and is encouraging everyone to take part in the event which seeks to eradicate tuberculosis in the city.

Mayor Florencio Bernabe said the fun run for a cause is in coordination with the Parañaque TB Task Force Federation (PTBTFF) of the National Tuberculosis Program and World Vision.

The city mayor urged the public to join the “Run (Walk) for a TB-Free Parañaque” set on March 26. The fun run will start at 5 a.m. at SM City Sucat Building A parking area in Barangay San Dionisio enroute to Parañaque City Hall.

“I invite and encourage everyone to participate in this event. This run is not only for fun or fitness but for a noble cause, principally towards our vision of a TB-Free Parañaque,” Bernabe said.
