25,000 join procession in Cavite
IMUS, Cavite, Philippines – Some 25,000 parishioners joined the traditional Good Friday procession in this town, making it the longest ever remembered in the town.
The solemn march, which involved 54 large images of Jesus Christ and His Apostles, the Blessed Mother, and saints, was deemed as the longest in the town in years.
The night procession, which lasted for more than four hours, was organized by the Our Lady of Pilar Cathedral, the seat of Imus diocese under Bishop Luis Antonio G. Tagle, and the town’s elderly faithful.
The procession, with Father Ronel Ilano and other Cathedral officials at the trail, was venerated by thousands of residents as they hold lighted candles and queued on the streets.
