P4.2 M disbursed for 4Ps

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Inline with the continuing implementation of its poverty alleviation program, the Region 7 office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has recently disbursed another P4.2 million for its Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

The recent distribution of the cash grant benefited 1,816 families in this city that was attended by North and South district representative Rachelle del Mar and Tomas Osmeña together with DSWD7 official and this city’s mayor Michael Rama.

Recipients came from the 13 additional barangays in the city that now include Lorega, Carreta, Mabolo, Bo. Luz, Ermita, Suba Pasil, Ermita, Sambag 2, Basak San Nicolas, Basak Pardo, Bulacao, Busay, and Cambinocot.

It can be recalled that the first batch of 4Ps beneficiaries are the ten most depressed barangays in this city covering 3,000 recipients. The said barangays include Sawang Calero, Tejero, Duljo Fatima, Inayawan, Mambaling among others.
