POC-PSC National Games committees formed

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines — The Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) - Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) National Games working committees have been formed, their members identified and their respective tasks and responsibilities detailed.

Members of said committees convened the other day at the Masskara Hall of Bacolod City’s New Government Center to discuss their functions so as to make certain everything will go smoothly during the week-long National Games to be held here May 22 to May 29.

The Peace and Order Committee, represented by Bacolod City Police Office Director Ricardo de la Paz said at least 150 men from the City’s Traffic Management Unit will be fielded in various areas during the Games to ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the city.

For its part, the Negros Occidental Provincial Police office (NOPPO) will field police personnel at the PANAAD Stadium area and in various strategic places outside Bacolod City.

Major telecommunications company, Smart Communications, will take provide media with an information board for Games updates as well as Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards with 100,000 “free” texts so that those covering the event will be in the loop throughout the games, as well as WIFI services at the media center inside the PANAAD Stadium.
