CAVITE CITY, Philippines — A two-hour fire gutted down five classrooms and the administration office of the Cavite National High School in Cavite City at midnight Monday, the provincial Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Central Fire Station said Tuesday.
No one was injured but the fire, believed caused by faulty electrical wiring, reportedly burned records and documents. The fire started in one of the classrooms where the electrical switch was left on.
Senior Fire Officer 2 Warlock Bautista said that the fire at the school building started at 10:52 p.m. and was put out at 12:23 midnight.
