70 BPJ inmates finish school

MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan, Philippines — At least 70 inmates graduated last Wednesday in the “Alternative Learning System and Livelihood Program” at the Bulacan Provincial Jail.

Lt. Col. Pepito B. Plamenco, BPJ warden, said 57 of the graduates finished the livelihood courses offered by the BPJ, while the rest completed elementary and high school.

Plamenco said the classes were held inside the BPJ’s premisesand in the Welfare Ville outside Camp General Alejo Santos.

Plamenco also said that the program was a joint-project of BPJ together with the Bulacan State University (BSU) and Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado. (Freddie C. Velez)
