BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – Because of their concern for their “kababayans” in agricultural-rich province of Bukidnon, the Association of Bukidnons in America (ABA) has extended medical equipment to the province’s emergency rescue group to help far-flung communities there, it was learned on Thursday.

The ABA turned over to the Malaybalay Emergency Rescue Unit 117 (MERU 117) the medical equipment and accessories.

ABA Officer Dennis Metiam and some officials and members, representing their President Carmen dela Cerna who is in the United States, handed over the brand-new medical equipment to the rescue unit on Tuesday at Malaybalay City Hall in the presence of city officials.

In a press statement, the medical equipment from the US has a full range of advanced life support like the Electrodes Pads for children and adult, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) with complete accessories and professional finger pulse oximeter.
