SIBAGAT, Agusan del Sur, Philippines – Close to 1,000 village folk, including those from far-flung areas in the mountainside town of Agusan del Sur, benefited from the free Summer Medical Mission by the provincial and municipal governments on Thursday here.

The Summer Medical Mission, which was also closely coordinated by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), involved free dental, medical, surgical, and circumcision services as well as blood-donation.

The villagers coming from different sitios and barangays also received free medicines.

“This is really a big help to us, we hope that this will be continuing in our town,” said in vernacular by a mother whose five children and herself received free medical assistance from the mission.
