Bataan traders plan for investors
BALANGA CITY, Bataan, Philippines – Mayor Joet S. Garcia of this city has called on Bataan businessmen to make strategic planning in order to respond to a wave of investors, foreign and domestic, flocking to the city.
Garcia made the call as two supermarket giants – Robinsons and Pure Gold – are set to pour in their investments into this city by setting up branches of their grocery and department store chain.
Robinsons, for one, had already reserved a 5-storey Balanga Arcade under construction in the sprawling commercial establishment set up by construction magnate Jerry Acuzar, a native of this city.
“Pure Gold wants to occupy the sprawling former Bataan Transit Terminal, now idled, which is strategically located along the heart of the City,” said Garcia.
With massive improvements in the city’s infrastructure and rapid development in the whole of Bataan, Governor Enrique “Tet” Garcia and his son, the mayor, are now readying the zoning and land use plan for the city.
