DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan, Philippines — The City Agriculturist here assured the public Saturday that fish being sold in markets are safe and not sourced from areas affected by the fish kill in Anda and Bolinao, also in this province.

City Agriculturist Emma Molina clarified that milkfish from Bonuan – more popularly known as “bangus Dagupan” – is being produced in this city alone and far from the fish kill areas.

Molina said: “Dagupan remains to be a fish kill-free city and has implemented market denial against truck loads of bangus coming from the fish kill-affected towns of Bolinao and Anda.”
