SAN JOSE DEL MONTE CITY, Bulacan, Philippines — Lady dentists: Beware.

For the second time this month a female was robbed and raped by a criminal posing as a patient – the first time in Manila and then the latest case happening in this city.

Senior Superintendent Fernando H. Mendez Jr., acting Bulacan police director, ordered Tuesday a massive hunt for the man believed responsible for both heinous crimes.

The suspect’s modus operandi was captured on the CCTV camera inside the clinic of the 40-year-old female dentist in Barangay Tungkong Mangga, here, last Sunday afternoon.

The man in the video – just like the culprit in the robbery and rape of a 47-year-old female dentist in Paco, Manila – entered the clinic posing as a patient and then overpowered the victim, strapping her with packing tape to the dental chair at gunpoint.

After looting the clinic of cash and other valuables like the victim’s mobile phone and jewelry pieces, the suspect raped the victim.

He then wore a dentist’s gown and surgical mask as he went out of the clinic with the loot and then fled on a motorcycle.

“It’s the same modus operandi,” Mendez said after watching the CCTV footage, comparing the case in Bulacan with the account of the victim in Manila.

Supt. Rodolfo Hernandez, city police chief, said the suspect is aged between 30 and 40; about 5’7” in height; has a small mole on the right cheek; and appears to be well-to-do as he wears jewelry.
