CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela, Philippines — Three people, including an Iranian national, were hurt after a three-seater Sezna training plane crashed while it has having its regular taxi at the municipal airport of Maconacon town Wednesday morning.

Police identified the injured occupants of the plane owned by the Cyclone Airways training school in San Fermin, Cauayan city, Isabela, as Capt. Rynald Taquiqui, 56, the aircraft pilot; Joseph Vergara, 20, aircraft mechanic and Ahmad Farid Hotak, 28, an Iranian student pilot.

Probers said the trainer plane took off at the Cauayan City Airport and landed at the Maconacon municipal airport where it was reportedly having its normal taxi when its front landing gear allegedly malfunctioned causing it to eventually crash on the airstrip.

The victims sustained multiple head and body injuries, including fractures on their legs. (With a report from Freddie G. Lazaro)
