MARIVELES, Bataan, Philippines – A total of 14 more companies have set up shop in the Authority of Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), bringing in more than P317 million worth of fresh investments.
AFAB Chairman and Administrator Deo Custodio named the 14 companies as Lewisberg Warehousing and Logistics; North Binghamton Solutions Corp.; Off-Road Adventure and Classic Automotive Restorers, Inc.; Good Sail Trading, Inc.; Greenville River Manufacturing Corp.; Half-Moon Bay Duty Free Inc.; Twenty Oaks Marketplace Corp.; One Source Petroleum Marketing Company; Executive Heights Bed and Breakfast; Clarkes Point Industrial Corp.; Trans-Am Waste and Rags Philippines, Inc.; South Charnwoods Industrial Corp.; Kinetix Industries Corp.; and Interline Realty.
Custodio said the influx of new investors marked an almost 40 percent increase in the number of locators in the FAB, a concrete sign of investors’ confidence in the newly-created Freeport.
Fresh from an official visit in China, Rep. Abet S. Garcia, principal author and father of the AFAB law, told newsmen that a number of foreign investors had also expressed interest in investing in AFAB.
Barely a year old, the AFAB is optimistic of its projections for year 2011 with the influx of investors here.
