Bill seeks training of principals

MANILA, Philippines — In a move to ensure the full-blown implementation of early childhood and development initiatives in the grassroots level, Alliance of Volunteer Educators (AVE) Rep. Eulogio Magsaysay pushed for the passage of a law that would provide wide-ranging training to elementary school principals.

House Bill 4702 provides the establishment of the Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) program to attend to the basic education and development needs of children ages three to six to promote their optimum growth and development.

Magsaysay said upgrading the knowledge and managerial skills of elementary school principals would hel princip implement effectively the ECED program.
