CEBU CITY, Cebu, Philippines — The Waterfront Philippines Inc. (WPI) announced it will embark on a P300-million renovation to improve further its flagship property in this City, the 560-room Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Said renovation project will have three segments — renovation of the grand and lower lobbies; renovation of function rooms; and renovation of the hotel’s convention facilities.

Each phase of the major facelift will cost P00 million, which will drawn from internally-generated funds.

“We are excited to embark on this multi-million-peso renovation project which ensures the further enhancement of our product and service offerings and eventually yield to better guest experience and revenues,” said WPI Vice President for Special Projects Weslie Gatchalian.

Renovation has already started at the Waterfront Cebu’s lobby which, when finished, will be “grander and more luxurious than it is now.

Waterfront Cebu General Manager Marco Protacio said, “It will be the first time Waterfront will be renovating its lobby after 10 years. The high-ceiling lobby has been the hotel’s principal attraction because of the beautifully designed murals in the ceiling.”
