LUCENA CITY, Philippines  — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is now underway in assessing 13 towns in Quezon to be selected as best performing local government unit (LGU) in relation with the department’s program Seal of Good Housekeeping

Quezon DILG provincial director Dr. Pedro Mendoza, said the ‘good housekeeping seal’ is awarded to LGU that excel in the office management such planning, budgeting, revenue mobilization, financial management, budget execution, procurement and resource mobilization.

LGU to be chosen with good housekeeping seal will receive cash incentive of P1 million each from the DILG’s Performance Challenge Fund (PCF).

The names of the 13 towns have been withheld after further evaluation, Mendoza added.
