Possible DoTC team members submitted
MANILA, Philippines — Names of possible members of the Roxas team at the Department of Transportation and Communications (DoTC) came afloat Saturday following the President Aquino’s acceptance of the resignation of the three remaining DoTC undersecretaries under the leadership of former Secretary Jose “Ping” De Jesus.
A former DoTC official who served along with the former DoTC chief said Secretary Mar Roxas has already recommended to the President those who would compose his DoTC team to replace the four undersecretaries who served during De Jesus’ reign.
The former DoTC executive, who requested anonymity, said those in the Roxas list submitted to the President for appointment are: Jose Martin Aliling, chairman and CEO of the DoTC’s North Luzon Railways Corp.; Jojo Lotilla, a certain Rafael “Paeng” Santos and a certain Timmy Limcaoco.
He said that except from Aliling, those in the list are lawyers and Roxas’ Liberal Party mates.
All the four undersecretary positions of the DoTC have the Palace accepted the resignation of those occupying it during the time of De Jesus.
Of the four undersecretaries under the former DoTC secretary, Glicerio Sicat, former head of the aviation group, was the first to quit. The effectivity of his resignation coincided with that of De Jesus.
