'Vision 2020'
TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur, Philippines – Surigao del Sur is set to launch its “Vision 2020” project after the province is no longer included in the so-called “Club 20” of the poorest provinces in the country.
The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) said the present economic status of Surigao del Sur is attributed to the joint efforts of the local government units (LGUs) here that was considered to be “paying off.”
Now, that Surigao del Sur already graduated from the country’s poorest provinces, the provincial government officials are set to launch “Vision 2020” Sight Program before weekend.
The launching of “Vision 2020” is part of the advocacy of the provincial government to curb poverty and transform it into a progressive province by providing basic services to people.
The launching of “Vision 2020” will also showcase several programs that will spur the economic activity of the province, and also uplift the living condition of Surigaonons, especially those living in the far-flung communities.
