ALABEL, Sarangani, Philippines – Sarangani Gov. Miguel Dominguez and Sarangani Lone District Rep. Emanuel “Manny” Pacquiao led on Monday the groundbreaking ceremony for the Sarangani Medical Center at the Capitol Complex grounds, with Department of Health Assistant Secretary Romulo Busuego as the guest of honor.

The hospital project is being undertaken under the auspices of the Development Bank of the Philippines’ Credit for Better Health Care Program.

The establishment and management aspect of the hospital was made possible through Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) arrangements – well in-keeping with a policy cornerstone of President Aquino.

The conception of and eventual construction and operation of the new hospital is the result of unparalleled initiative and cooperation at all levels of government.

Thus, the hospital project is fully endorsed and supported both by Dominguez and Pacquiao.

The new 200-bed tertiary medical facility is the first hospital in the province and the premier medical center for the entire SoCCSKSARGEN region.
