BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – The completion of two flood-control projects will help solve perennial flooding in low-lying barangays near the City Camp lagoon.

P10 million was spent for the drainage rehabilitation project in Quezon Hill barangay and P30 million for upgrading the drainage and road pavement along Ferguson Road.

The two projects will help divert the water cascading from the upper barangays away from the City Camp lagoon area, the Baguio City District Engineering Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH-BCDEO) here said

Engr. Ireneo S. Gallato, DPWH-BCDEO district engineer, said the project contractors were working double time to minimize the inconvenience caused by the closure of major roads to motorists and pedestrians.
