Cavite governor prioritizes economy, employment
TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite, Philippines — The provincial government, under Governor Jonvic Remulla, is concentrating on economic development and employment as the province's population continues to increase every year.
Remulla said this as he cited that business is the key in improving further the economy of a province with a fast-growing population.
Cavite is the country's most densely-populated province. There are now over 3.3 million people living in the province's four cities and 19 towns. Records showed that the bustling Cavite is next to the National Capital Region (NCR) in term of economic growth.
The 43-year-old Remulla made an assessment statement during the recent oath-taking of the officers of Likhang Kabitenyo Foundation Inc., an organization of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the province.
In a speech, the governor emphasized the importance of livelihood opportunities in the light of the province's growing population which increase by 200,000 every year.
Remulla likewise said that his administration has opened its doors and would render assistance to entrepreneurs in generating more jobs as the province's economy progresses.
“I am always open for dialogue on whatever possible assistance that the provincial government can extend to achieve the goals of entrepreneurs. Our governance should focus on creating more opportunities for people which will be the key in improving our economy. We should be proud that we are next to Metro Manila in terms of economic growth,” he said.
In his message, Remulla also mentioned the success of his recent trip to Seoul, South Korea . He said more investors from the country will be coming in a few months to venture into business in Cavite.
