COTABATO CITY, Philippines – In its effort to turn Lanao del Sur into a zone of peace, Gov. Mamintal A. Adiong Jr., backed by his council of elders and advisers, settled recently another “rido” or family feud that erupted and claimed one life last month.

Provincial Information Coordinator Masiding Yahya said the governor and council members held the settlement rite at the new Capitol Complex in Marawi City last Wednesday. Yahya said more than 400 family feuds have already been settled and resolved by the provincial government under the Adiong administration.
