TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, Philippines – Pressing issues on cybersex will be among the top agenda for the upcoming Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) said Bohol Governor Edgar Chatto, who is now the chair of the council succeeding Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia.

Chatto admitted that for the meantime. they do not have a specific monitoring team on the trend of cybex in the province but assured that communications with respective local government units are being done.

It can be recalled that several minor girls from the town of Getafe, Bohol were rescued last May after police authorities in Cebu port apprehended their flock within which they were made to perform indecent sexual activities. The said minors are believed to be possible victims of cybersex.

Some of the girls during a court hearing later told a prosecutor that their new jobs would involve the “Internet” and that they only had to “face the computer” and follow instructions given by a foreigner.

The girls are currently housed in the females’ dormitory of Department of Social Welfare and Development.
