Iloilo honors nine outstanding Ilonggos
ILOILO CITY, Iloilo, Philippines (PNA) – Iloilo City will honor nine outstanding Ilonggos during awards ceremonies which will serve to highlight celebratory activities highlighting the city’s 74th anniversary during the Mayor’s Ball which will feature a Rigodon de Honor to be held at the Grand Ballroom of the Iloilo Grand Hotel.
Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog will lead the ceremonial toast hailing the nine outstanding Ilonggos who made their mark, giving exemplary contributions and services and making their selection appropriate with the city’s 74th anniversary theme, “My City, My Pride.”
The awardees are Vice Admiral Alexander Pama, commanding general of the Philippine Navy for Military Service, former Department of Tourism Secretary Narzalina Lim for Tourism, globally awarded singer Jed Madela for Performing Arts, fashion designer Alex Soncio for Fashion, philanthropist Ma. Teresa Chan of the 1Meal program for Volunteerism, Architect Manuel Tingson of the Iloilo Cultural Heritage Foundation for Culture, Architect Johnny Que for Business and Entrepreneurship, retired city division of schools superintendent Ida Endonila for Education, and television broadcaster Jonathan Gellangarin of GMA6 Ratsada for Media.
