DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite, Philippines — The anti-drug campaign of the Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) yielded another result Thursday with the arrest of three suspected drug pushers and the seizure of high-grade cocaine worth P5 million in Tanza town and Dasmariñas City.

Senior Supt. John C. Bulalacao, PPO director, identified the suspects as Alex Mingoy, 34, Arnol Llanos Toledo, 33, and Bobby Boco Yape, all residents of Dasmarinas, Cavite.

Mingoy, Toledo and Yape were arrested by a police team led by Supt. Radel D.L. Ramos, Tanza police chief, and Supt. Romeo A. Baleros, PPO Intelligence Branch chief, during a one-day operation in Tanza and Dasmarinas.

First to fall was Mingoy who was caught possessing 250 grams of cocaine during a buy-bust operation on Soriano Highway in Tanza at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Mingoy, when questioned by Bulalacao and his officers, named Toledo and Yape as his cohorts in the alleged drug sale. He said he was forced to sell cocaine to earn money to buy medicine for his sickly mother and father.

The police team arrested Toledo and Yape in follow-up operations in Barangays Bautista and San Simon in Dasmarinas also on the same day. Seized from the two suspects were 750 grams of cocaine.
