TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, Philippines — The Home Development Mutual Fund Pag-IBIG Fund Cebu North Branch has brought its services here, after joining in the recent opening of the Business-One-Stop Shop (BOSS) in the province.

The launching of BOSS in Bohol is intended to cater to the needs of Boholanos, particularly in terms of issuing clearances for local business establishments opening in the province.

The BOSS project is under the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)’s Joint Memo Circular on Business Permit Licensing System which aims to streamline the processing of business permits and clearances by each involved agency.

Pag-IBIG services are now made available at the BOSS office located on the ground floor of the Bohol provincial capitol building in Tagbilaran City where clients can also easily access information on requirements of other participating agencies, among other matters.

The BOSS caters not only to new businesses but also to business establishments whose permits renewal procedure involves such government agencies as the DTI, Social Security System, PhilHealth and the Pag-IBIG Fund.

Meanwhile, the recent opening of the BOSS office in Bohol has entailed requiring all local branches of government agencies here to provide services in the same venue under one roof for the convenience of business owners in the province.

The Bohol provincial government has already assigned personnel to man the Pag-IBIG Fund service desk after such personnel has completed on-the-job training.

Other Pag-IBIG services such as on-line employers and membership registration, Fund information dissemination, and receiving of Pag–IBIG forms are now available at the BOSS office which is open from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m, from Monday to Friday.

The BOSS project was made possible through the efforts of Bohol Governor Edgar Chatto, Tagbilaran Extension Office (TEO) division chief Teofredo Garcia and the heads of various government agencies operating in the province.

Meanwhile, to bring its services closer to clients, Pag-IBIG Fund-Cebu has recently conducted a two-day Mobile Service Desk activity at the Cebu Mitsumi Inc. in Danao City.

The Mobile Service Desk served an average of 100 members availing of its services. Six fund briefings were attended by at least 60 Cebu Mitsumi employees per session.

Services offered the said Mobile Service Desk include membership verification, print-out of Employee’s Statement of Accumulated Value (ESAV), conduct of several sessions of Fund orientation or briefing, online membership registration, receiving of MPL applications, printout of the Statement of loan balance, marketing of the acquired properties, and housing loan counseling.
